Blue Robin Retail Ltd is the developer and publisher of the Aruz mobile application and is responsible for the processing of personal information described in this notice. Blue Robin Retail Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17249299.

1. Information Aruz processes

Aruz is designed so that poetry, drafts, saved couplets and other user-created content are stored locally on the user’s own device. Blue Robin Retail Ltd does not operate a central cloud database for storing users’ poetry or personal collections.

The app may process limited technical information required to operate its features, diagnose faults, provide feedback functionality or deliver AI-assisted analysis. The precise information processed will depend on the features used and the services enabled in the version of the app installed by the user.

2. AI-assisted analysis

Where a user chooses to use an AI-assisted feature, the text submitted for analysis may be sent securely to the relevant AI service provider for the sole purpose of generating the requested analysis. Users should avoid submitting personal, confidential or sensitive information as part of a couplet or feedback message.

3. Feedback and support

If a user sends feedback, reports a fault or contacts Blue Robin Retail Ltd for support, the company may process the user’s contact details, the content of the message and any technical information voluntarily supplied. This information will be used to respond, investigate bugs and improve the app.

4. Payments and subscriptions

Paid subscriptions may be processed by the relevant app store. Blue Robin Retail Ltd does not directly receive or store full payment-card details. The app store’s own privacy notice and payment terms will apply to those transactions.

5. Legal bases

Where UK data-protection law applies, personal information may be processed because it is necessary to provide a requested service, to administer a subscription, to respond to a support request, to comply with legal obligations, or for the legitimate interests of maintaining, securing and improving the app.

6. Retention

Locally stored poetry and drafts remain on the user’s device until the user deletes them, clears the app’s data or uninstalls the app. Feedback and support correspondence will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the matter, maintain records and improve the service.

7. Sharing

Blue Robin Retail Ltd does not sell users’ personal information. Limited information may be shared with service providers where necessary to operate app features, process subscriptions, provide AI-assisted analysis, maintain security or comply with the law.

8. International processing

Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, appropriate safeguards will be used in accordance with applicable data-protection law.

9. User rights

Depending on the applicable law, users may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection in relation to their personal information. Users may also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

10. Children

Aruz is an educational tool and may be used by younger learners under appropriate adult supervision. The app is not intended to invite children to submit personal information directly to Blue Robin Retail Ltd.

This notice may be updated when the app’s features, service providers or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published on this website with a revised update date.
